Austin bound
In the not too distanced future I will be moving to Austin. Alot of the details are still up in the air, but its time for me to pack up my stuff!

So its time to fire up the magic internet machine and get this blog thing going again. I have to admit that my interest in documenting events in my life has diminished since moving to San Antonio. So let me hit this site with same defibrillator that Groening used to bring Futurama back to life (kinda) much like my attempts to update this site with some kind of regularity.
2008 has been [insert witty adjective] kind of year. Its seem to fly by and take forever all at the same time. It started with the departure of three co-workers that I hold high opinions of, both professionally and personally. But I did get a chance to sneak away for some skiing in Santa Fe. Then time seemed to drag till the summer with the excitement from getting a promotion, seeing a company go public, the Olympics only to get derailed along with the economy and the 2008 Presidential election.
Other highlights included Makers Faire (I only took a few pictures) , buying and using new camping gear, eating Indian food regularly, new site toolittle.info, hardware failures, Wii bowling making me want to bowl for real, discovery of Explosions in the Sky and upping my sys-admin skills and over all nerd cred.
Thats all for now. more later?
so yesterday me and Hart went to the Ranch for the day. It was perectly timed as work is getting crazy and I was having a rough day on Saturday. It was a typical ranch trip, shooting, 4-wheelin’, beers and the weather was awesome.
The picutre is a elk rack that was shead by the bull elk. Not its sitting on a king size bed.
discovered a new band while watching Austin City Limits got to see my brother at Six Flags where I lost my keys (no link cause I LOST THEM) but I didn’t lose my car key, but luckily I got another one from my apartment complex(seen below).
Me and Hart made a Walmart run to get a 2nd Playstation controller. When we walked in, I said I was going to walk out with something I don’t need. Low and behold I got a money hat, I was SOOO wrong.
I have been over due for a day off and today is the day. Good gawd it feels good.
The past two week ends have been busy, Warren and D’s wedding followed with Ryan’s birthday bash and helping Loveless move. While the parties were great and moving is always a bitch it was so draining. After a week at work I need so down time and I have really been getting much of that lately.
With the ramp up for the holidays about to start at work and fall allergies aka the Cedar Fever right around the corner the next month will be…. uh…. fun!
It is awesome having Hart in town and around the office. And it was great that he got in for our recent team outing even if it was as good as our other ones.
Texans on the tube (not in HD though), fantasy football on the laptop, red beans in the crock pot and Sierra Navada in the kegerator. Does it get any better?
yes, I know I haven’t updated this thing in forever and maybe yesterday’s awesomeness will spur me to update more often.
So yesterday I got invited to be part of ‘lunch with leadership’. There was about 20 of us and the president and the ceo. It was just a time to share what we love and what is frustrating about the rack. Great meeting with tons of laughs.
Then I get a promotion and a raise! woot!
Then I fixed the screen on my phone that I broke the day previously. See pic for the damage.
Plus today is System Administrator Appreciation Day!
