Last weekend I let Zack borrow my digitial camera for his MS 150 bike ride to Austin. He only got to take a few pics before the camera quit working. It just wouldn’t turn on.

After changing the batteries and pressing the power botton like 37291876 times, I called Canon. They said it had to be sent in and was out of warranty i.e. cost money. Being unemployed that wasn’t what I wanted to do, so I somehow remembered I got a service plan when I bought it at Best Buy.

So yesterday I took it to Best Buy and they said to pick out a new camera in the same price range. I noticed that Best Buy has almost NO digital cameras that take compact flash, which I have 2 256mb cards. I settled on a Canon PowerShot A510 to replace my PowerShot A75. It is the same thing just a little smaller, takes only 2 AA and uses SD instead of compact flash.

So in the end I got a new camera for the (cost of the service plan which carries over to the new one) but I stuck with memory cards that don’t work. Atleast I got a camera that works.

There is not much new with me.



I have been setting up a blog for my dad, its not quite done, but I’ll pass alond the link when it is finished. Pics from the MS 150 are up here and word has it that more are on there way. Owen has suckered me into playing Counter Strike Source, a multiplayer online first-person shooter counter-terrorist warfare computer game.

Beyond that, life is pretty laid back. Still looking for a job, and still no luck.

My step mom Christy got in a laptop design survey. I just had to look at a munch of different models that all loked the same and fill out some forms. Got in American Express gift cards for an hour of work, not
too bad.

Couldn’t take pictures of the laptops, but got some pictures of some of the labs. The car and airplane seats were the coolest.

   
Texas A&M is playing Rice tonight. Dad hooked up the tickets, Zack and Ian are here too.
