day = bad, shell = bad, rackers = GREAT
Today I really felt that the 2nd shift Rackers showed their true colors. I was not having a good day, as I could not asleep last night (last time I looked at the clock it was 8:30 AM) so I was tired and cranky. One of finer monitoring techs, let me know that one of my tires was running low. So I go out to check and low and behold, I got a staple in one of my tires. I got the jack out and got the lug nuts removed, but the rim was stuck on and would not budge. After some banging and pulling, I decided to walk to the Shell Station to get some WD40.
I was happy to find that the Shell did have WD40, but the cashier insisted I paid with a $10 when infact I handed him a $20. He told me there was nothing he could do and that I could talk with the manager tomorrow, all the while making me out to be a thief. A very UNfanatical experience to say the least and I left ANGRY and insulted.
I get back and WD40′d the crap out of the stuck wheel and let it sit for awhile. After while there is a handful of rackers from different departments helping me get the tire off. After a fair amount of “dude sweat” we got the tire free and the spare installed.
8 Rackers from four different departments came to my aid, making sure that I was “squared away”. As angry as I am with that Shell station, I feel fortunate to work with Rackers that take care of their own. Big thanks to all the Rackers that helped me in my time of need.
